Wales One World Film Festival 2011
For the last eleven years WOW has explored the edges of contemporary global cinema and so provided an unrivalled ‘window on the world’ that gives audiences all across Wales the chance to see the best in world cinema.
This year WOW is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a particular focus on films from Mexico and from China. From Mexico we have Black Sheep (Oveja Negra), an entertaining look at life in rural Mexico, Circo, a wonderful documentary about a family run Mexican circus, and, Norteado, a charming drama about one man’s increasingly bizarre attempts to cross the border into the USA.
So do please come along and join us in celebrating world cinema in all its richness and diversity.
The only UK film festival that specialises in world cinema, WOW exists ‘to suprise, astonish and give you time to reflect’ It’s a celebration of our common humanity.
